Nik Company was founded in 1960, coinciding with the birth of the refrigeration industry in Iran, utilizing the technical expertise of Linde Company (Germany) in Tehran. Originally known as Persepolis, Nik began its activity with the production of display refrigerators, later expanding to meat, pastry, and ice cream storage refrigerators.

Establishment of Nik Hvac & Refrigeration Company
In 1963, the first industrial cold storage facility in Iran, known as the Tehran Grand Cold Storage on Shoosh Street, was built and commissioned by Nik Company.
1963
Launch of Iran’s First Industrial Cold Storage
Following the passing of Mr. Karim Niknam, the company’s founder, his eldest son Mr. Davoud Ali Niknam continued his father’s legacy by expanding the production of commercial cold storage units and open-type refrigerators.
1969
Expansion into Commercial Cold Storage and Open Display Refrigerators
The Niknam brothers partnered and established “Niknam Refrigeration”, marking the beginning of a new phase of business expansion.
1971
Beginning of Niknam Refrigeration
With the introduction of industrial ice-making machines, the business of the Niknam brothers grew rapidly. Their equipment and expertise contributed to major national projects, including Karun Agro-Industry Company and Molavi Road Construction Company (Tehran–Qom Highway Camping Project).

Production of Industrial Ice Makers
With the launch of a new factory in Beheshti Industrial Town and the official license from the Ministry of Industry, Nik Company began mass production of ice cream machines.
1984
Mass Production of Ice Cream Machines
Following its expansion and factory launch in Beheshti Industrial Town, Nik HVAC & Refrigeration Company was officially registered as a legal entity.

Official Registration of Nik HVAC & Refrigeration Company
In 1989, Nik established and commissioned its new factory on Karaj Special Road, marking another major milestone in the company’s development.

Construction of the New Nik Factory
As part of its continued growth, Nik Company began designing and manufacturing ammonia-based industrial cold storage equipment, including evaporators and evaporative condensers. Shortly after, production of ice banks — used in cold-water systems for dairy factories — also began. Within just a few years, Nik successfully equipped dozens of dairy and food processing plants, including industrial cheese and ice cream factories.
1991
Expansion into Industrial Cold Storage Equipment
In 1996, Nik signed a technical cooperation agreement with Mayekawa Japan, becoming Mayekawa’s official representative in Iran for the sale and manufacturing of ammonia compressors. The company also began producing compressor parts and exporting them to Belgium.

Partnership with Mayekawa Japan
Nik continued expanding its product portfolio, which led to the establishment of Factory No. 2 in Kordan, Karaj, dedicated to the manufacturing of ammonia-based refrigeration equipment.
2001
Product Expansion and Opening of Second Factory
Nik HVAC & Refrigeration Company entered into a contract with Turbo Compressor Oil Company to manufacture heat exchangers used in Siemens gas turbo compressors. This marked Nik’s entry into the production of equipment for the oil, gas, and power generation sectors.
2004
Entry into the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Industries
Nik inaugurated its third factory, fully equipped and specialized in the manufacturing of heat exchangers.
2006
Opening of the Third Nik Factory
Nik began designing and producing HVAC equipment, expanding its product range to include various types of chillers, package units, air handling units, air washers, and fan coils — strengthening its position as a comprehensive provider of industrial and commercial climate control systems.
2007
Launch of Air Conditioning Equipment Production
With the goal of expanding its production facilities, Nik HVAC & Refrigeration Company initiated the construction of the Nik Industrial Complex in Shamsabad Industrial Town, covering an area of approximately 10 hectares. This marked a major step forward in the company’s long-term development and industrial growth strategy.
